Dennis O'Neill

Hello Actors and potential actors,

Thanks for your interest in the classes.

I hold acting classes every Sunday at 5:30 PM.  Our address is Fred Astaire Dance Studio, 3421 West 7th St, Fort Worth, TX

I am the writer/creator/producer/director and lead actor in a TV show that is airing on the web, called, Bail Out. You can go to the link below. I began teaching in NY and have been teaching for over 25 yrs. I have been teaching acting here in the DFW area since 1995.

My classes begin with improvisation, then scene work with two or more person scenes. This gives you a feel of being on a Film/TV set or Stage play. Scenes are videotaped once a month.

Only I (no student input unless I ask for it) give feedback to every actor/student on your work at the end of every scene.

The cost for the monthly “ongoing” classes, once a week, is $110 whether it is a four or five week month. From time to time, I will have guest speakers in such as directors, producers, agents, filmmakers, etc. The extra cost will be minimal and is treated like a workshop. Classes are Sunday nights at 5:30 PM. I teach private sessions for $60 for the hour. I encourage the use of food in scenes so that the actor knows how to time their business and dialogue while in the scene.

Many times our classes go longer than the usual 8:30 or 9 PM period. This occurs if the actors want to stay later and things are moving.

You have the opportunity to take one class to see if it is for you, the cost is only $25 and there is no obligation to continue if you feel it is not a good fit. If it is a good fit and you would like to join the weekly classes, the cost for the month is $110.  I do not allow free observation classes. I feel that you must jump in. Check out my links in my email so you know who I am and what I do. My first film was a low budget SAG Indie. My second was Raging Bull, starring Robert DeNiro and directed by Martin Scorsese.

I have scenes for the actors to choose from but I encourage, strongly, that actors bring in their own scenes so they stay pro-active. I look forward to seeing you and working with you. Do not forget to check out my links on this page to see my work.
